It’s been three years since the last Descendants film came out. Fans wondering if the franchise would continue got an answer at this year’s D23 Expo.
During Saturday evening’s Disney+ and Disney Channel’s joint presentation, it was revealed that a fourth Descendants film is in the works.
The only returning cast member at this time is China Anne McClain. She’ll lead the film alongside newcomers Kylie Cantrall (Raven’s Home) and Dara Reneé (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series).
Cantrall and Reneé will play the daughters of Red, the daughter of the Queen of Hearts, and Chloe, the daughter of Cinderella.
Plot details are scarce, but the film is expected to begin production early next year.
