Last week, Marvel Studios debuted their first “Special Presentation” with Werewolf By Night. Later this year, we will get a second one with Guardians of the Galaxy: Holiday Special. Well, thanks to a new report, we may know what the next “Special Presentation” is.
According to the Cosmic Circus, Nova will be released on Disney+ as a Special Presentation. As of now, it is unknown when the studio has plans to release the project or any additional details on the project itself. Marvel has also yet to confirm whether Nova will in fact be for Disney+ or a theatrical release but many insiders have hinted at a Disney+ debut and this report only back this up. Cosmic Circus was also the first to report on Werewolf By Night being a Disney+ special, as well as Laura Donnelly’s character and Man-Thing’s appearance in the special, so this report has some strong merit.
Moon Knight screenwriter, Sabir Pirzada is signed on to pen the screenplay.
For those unfamiliar with the character, Nova, a.k.a Richard Rider became Nova after the last surviving member of the Corps, Rhomann Dey, crash-landed on Earth and bestowed his powers and duty upon him. Dey, as fans might recall, is the name of the Nova officer played by John C. Reilly in Guardians of the Galaxy. With Xandar destroyed during the events of Avengers: Infinity War, we may see an injured Dey travel to Earth to find a replacement.
