William Jackson Harper to Appear in ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’

As those who follow me on Twitter already know, I have fully supported The Good Place star William Jackson Harper getting the Reed Richards role in Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four. Sadly, that will not be the case, but he is joining the MCU.

Following the release of the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania trailer earlier today, we now know Jackson Harper is set to appear in the film. While it is unknown who the character is, he is described as “the leader of the rebels group inside the QR that fight against Kang.”

Now for just for pure fun speculation, Michael T. Ford III on Twitter thinks maybe the character could be Reed Richards and brings up a really good point. Or maybe it’s a good point because I personally want this to happen, so just go with it.

The film follows Scott Lang and Hope van Dyne, along with Hope’s parents, Hank Pym, Janet van Dyne and Scott’s daughter, Cassie, as they go on a new adventure exploring the Quantum Realm after accidentally sending themselves there with no way to get back and will encounter threats in a breathtaking world, plus might fight against their newest enemy, Kang the Conquerer, who has a ruthless army and a mysterious agenda.

Directed by Peyton Reed, Quantumania sees the return of Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lily as our titular heroes, alongside Michael Douglas, and Michelle Pfeiffer. Kathryn Newton joins the cast as Cassie Lang, with Jonathan Majors return as Kang the Conqueror.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is scheduled is set to hit theaters on February 17, 2023, as the first film of Phase Five of the MCU.
