After being found guilty of misdemeanor assault in the third degree, harassment in the second degree, and recklessly causing physical injury in his domestic violence case, Jonathan Majors was supposed to be sentenced today.
We at The DisInsider have learned that will no longer be the case.
The sentencing has been postponed due to several post-conviction motions filed by his lawyers.
Make no mistake, the actor is still expected to be sentenced. However, his lawyers are likely still fighting to have charges dropped to lighten the punishment.
Currently, the actor faces up to a year behind bars, though he could potentially receive a slap on the wrist, probation, counseling and a fine.
A new date has yet to be confirmed.

Between his roles in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Creed 3, Majors was one of Hollywood’s biggest stars on the rise. Just hours after his conviction in December, however, he was fired by Marvel. And the role of Kang the Conqueror, billed as the MCU’s next big threat, was left vacant.
Although the finale of Loki season 2 postponed Kang the Conqueror’s return, his return is inevitable. But ever since the news regarding Majors first broke it has become increasingly unclear if the studio plans to recast him. Recently, Colman Domingo and John David Washington have come up as potential replacements. Marvel Studios has yet to comment on the matter since the actor’s firing.
