Since its inception, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has featured hundreds of A-listers. Some were big before making their MCU debuts (Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Evans). Others grew to prominence because of it (Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pratt).

Over the last few years, many of those stars having taken a bit of a backseat in the franchise. Some have been killed off, retired, or even sidelined in favor of the series’ current multiverse story. Nevertheless, the door is always open for new talent. And according to a new rumor, Marvel is interested in working with one of Hollywood’s most talented personalities.

According to industry insider Daniel RPK, Marvel Studios has expressed interest in working with the award-winning and versatile Keke Palmer! That’s not all.

It’s not as if the studio is just interested in working with her for a single project. Per RPK, the studio wants her to have a big role.

Now, it’s not entirely clear what the role, or if the studio has even reached out to speak with Palmer yet. But RPK alleges that if they haven’t yet, they will soon.

Palmer has been a star since she was a child, making her debut in Barbershop 2: Back in Business, before starring alongside (MCU alums) Laurence Fishburne and Angela Bassett in Akeelah and the Bee. Throughout the years, she’s worked in numerous television shows, produced her own music, and even developed her own TV network.

Most recently, before winning an Emmy for hosting NBC’s gameshow Password, she starred in Jordan Peele’s Nope where she garnered critical acclaim.

In short, she might just be one of the biggest and brightest stars working today, so it’s no wonder Marvel wants to work with her. Plus, she’s no stranger to Disney having a short hosting gig on ABC’s Good Morning America and starring in Pixar’s Lightyear.

Still, the question remains: Who could she play in the MCU?

Well, it turns out she may have given us a potential hint.

Just a few months ago, Palmer posted a photo of herself cosplaying as Rogue from the X-Men. While it’s not confirmed at all that she will be starring as the character in the MCU, we don’t doubt that it could have given Feige and company a really good idea.

Now, as always because this is a rumor, we urge all of our readers to this info with a grain of salt. Considering Daniel RPK’s track record, however, we are inclined to believe that it might be true.

Regardless, what do you think of Keke Palmer joining the MCU? And who would you like to see her play? Sound off below!
