RUMOR: Taylor Swift Formally Meets Kevin Feige For Role In MCU

By now, the whole world is convinced that Taylor Swift will cameo as Dazzler in Deadpool & Wolverine. Granted, her appearance at Super Bowl LVIII alongside director Shawn Levy, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman only added fuel to the speculative fire. While we won’t know for sure until the film hits theaters this June, a new rumor suggests that a role in the MCU is in Taylor Swift’s future regardless.

According to industry insider Daniel RPK, the pop icon has actually met with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige. Although it’s unclear how recently they met, the main goal was to discuss a role for her in the MCU going forward.

So, if she were perhaps playing Dazzler, maybe this meeting was to talk about how her role could expand in the future. Or she could have met with Feige to discuss a brand new role entirely. After all, it wouldn’t be the first time someone played more than one role in the MCU. Just ask Benedict Cumberbatch or Gemma Chan.

Now, Swift wouldn’t be the first icon to join the MCU. After the Eternals, we know Harry Styles’ Starfox is out there somewhere. Meghan Thee Stallion is somewhere on Earth probably grabbing drinks with She-Hulk too. Sadly, we’ll just have to find out.
