Deadpool & Wolverine is right around the corner and while Hugh Jackman is returning as Wolverine [new variant], we know that he will not been the Wolverine of Marvel Studios new X-Men movie. This begs the question, who will play the new Wolverine?

Egerton, Cavill, and Radcliffe have been the center of multiple rumors about playing a variant of Wolverine in Deadpool & Wolverine. In Egerton’s case, he has already spoken to Marvel and said he would consider playing Wolverine if given the opportunity. Cavill recently was rumored to have met with Marvel, with some saying that it was for Captain Britain, but that has yet to be confirmed. As for Radcliffe, he shot the Wolverine rumors down in the past.

In Deadpool & Wolverine, Wade Wilson lives a quiet life, having left his time as the mercenary Deadpool behind him, until the Time Variance Authority (TVA), a bureaucratic organization that exists outside of time and space and monitors the timeline, pulls him into a new mission. With his home universe facing an existential threat, Wilson reluctantly joins with an even more reluctant Wolverine on a mission that will change the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The film is directed by Shawn Levy from a screenplay he wrote with Ryan Reynolds, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Zeb Wells. Reynolds and Hugh Jackman star as Deadpool and Wolverine, respectively, alongside Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, and Matthew Macfadyen. A galore of cameos have been confirmed via recent trailers and images.
