Odessa Young is the latest to join 20th Century Studios Deliver Me From Nowhere, the upcoming Bruce Springsteen film, Deadline has learned.
The Bear star Jeremy Allen White is set to star as the iconic rock star. Also on board the project is Paul Walter Hauser as Springsteen’s longtime guitar tech Mike Batlan, and Jeremy Strong playing Springsteen’s manager Jon Landau. Young will be playing Springsteen’s love interest, who that is unknown at this time.
Deliver Me From Nowhere will follow Bruce Springsteen’s journey in creating his 1982 album, Nebraska. According to Deadline, this upcoming film will depict the process of crafting his sixth studio album, Nebraska, which debuted in 1982.
Springsteen and Landau are participating in the film’s production, which is slated to begin filming in the fall. Scott Cooper will direct the movie, with 20th Century Studios as the producer.
As for Odessa Young, the Australian-born actress gained prominence through her roles in the Nine Network drama Tricky Business and the 2015 films Looking for Grace and The Daughter, the latter of which earned her an AACTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. Young is currently shooting the Netflix limited series Black Rabbit opposite Jude Law and Jason Bateman.
