Nick Frost Nabs Role In ‘Star Wars: Skeleton Crew’

After famously declining a role in the Star Wars universe due to “rubbish” pay, Nick Frost is finally onboard to make his debut in the upcoming series Skeleton Crew.

This, according to People.

In an interview with the outlet, series creator Jon Watts (The MCU’s Spider-Man films) revealed that aboard the mysterious ship at the heart of the show will be an equally mysterious droid named SM 33.

Frost will provide the voice of said droid.

Watts describes the new character as the ship’s first mate, “a rusty old, cranky droid that sort of reluctantly helps the kids along the way.”

Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert (Everything Everywhere All at Once), David Lowery (Peter Pan & Wendy), Jake Schreier (Thunderbolts*), Bryce Dallas Howard (The Mandalorian), and Lee Isaac Chung (Twisters) also direct episodes from a script by Christopher Ford, Myung Joh Wesner.

The series, which will consist of eight episodes, debuts exclusively on Disney+ on December 3rd.
