We’re a week away from the release of Moana 2 and the live-action remake of Moana is currently in production in Hawaii. But that’s not stopping Disney from going all-in on the franchise.
The official Disney Parks blog revealed that it would be producing the first-ever stage adaptation of the film for the Disney Treasure cruise.
Titled “Disney: The Tale of Moana,” it promises to take viewers on a journey across land and sea, with set design and musical elements inspired by cultures of the Pacific Islands woven throughout
Larger-than-life puppetry fills the Walt Disney Theatre stage throughout the show, including the largest puppet Disney Cruise Line has ever created in the massive, fiery Te Kā towering over the audience before eventually transforming into the gentle island goddess, Te Fiti.
The show will feature several memorable songs from the film including, “How Far I’ll Go.”
