The Star Wars universe is set to potentially change forever with the addition of Ryan Gosling in director Shawn Levy’s upcoming film.

Little is known about a new Star Wars movie coming from Deadpool & Wolverine (2024) director Shawn Levy, but The Hollywood Reporter shared the following:
Ryan Gosling is headed to the great galaxy far, far away.
The three-time Oscar nominee is in negotiations to topline the Star Wars feature project that will be directed by Deadpool & Wolverine filmmaker Shawn Levy.
Ryan Gosling (Barbie, La La Land) is potentially jumping into his first major franchise, as the incredibly talented actor (he’s literally me) has stayed outside of large productions for the majority of his career. Barbie (2023), of course, changed the way Gosling goes about choosing his next project.
THR continued to share that, if Ryan Gosling is confirmed by Lucasfilm to lead the film, Shawn Levy’s Star Wars movie would go into immediate production.
Having Ryan Gosling join the Star Wars universe amidst a re-structuring of the franchise created by George Lucas would signify Disney is ready to hit a “reset” button and allow a major talent, such as Gosling, to usher in a new era of storytelling and movie-making.
Given the historic success of Deadpool & Wolverine from Shawn Levy, The Walt Disney Company is looking to capture yet another lightning bolt in a bottle for the Skywalker saga and beyond.
While we’re yet to have a confirmation from The Walt Disney Company on Gosling’s joining, Levy has worked closely with Lucasfilm and screenwriter Jonathan Tropper for the last two years to get the unnamed Star Wars movie into the sky alongside the Millennium Falcon.
Every Star Wars fan is anxious to see the official confirmation of Ryan Gosling joining the ranks of legendary actors like Harrison Ford and Sir Alec Guinness as a new Star Wars hero (or… villain?).
