Looks like a certain family member is coming back to Ohana.
The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Chris Sanders will to pen the script for the live-action sequel to Disney’s Lilo & Stitch.
Chris Sanders originally worked on the animated 2002 film along with Dean DeBlois as co-creator, co-writer, and co-director.
Chris Sanders also voices the fan-favorite blue alien, Stitch for the franchise.
Chris Sanders returned to voice Stitch in the live-action remake that recently joined the billion dollar club at the box office.

The remake was directed Dean Fleischer Camp and written by Chris Kekaniokalani Bright and Chris Van Waes.
No word as of yet if where getting a new director, if the cast is returning and what the story will be.
It’s said that the sequel will be likely be a new story.
The Lilo & Stitch franchise has tons of different alien characters like Stitch that appeared in the animated direct-to-video sequels and the Disney Channel tv series, but no confirmation if any of those alien characters will be in the sequel.
Expect more news for the live-action sequel soon.
