Mark Ruffalo is returning to the MCU sooner than we think, as the actor joined the cast of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Additionally, Michael Mando is returning to the franchise as Scorpion. Mando made a quick appearance in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
The film is being directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, and stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker / Spider-Man alongside Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, Liza Colón-Zayas, with Jon Bernthal returning as the Punisher.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to be released by Sony Pictures Releasing in the United States on July 31, 2026.
