Disney brought a stacked lineup and some serious star power to San Diego Comic-Con Málaga on October 3.
More than 3,000 fans packed Hall M for previews of Avengers: Doomsday, VisionQuest, Hexed, Gatto, Ice Age: Boiling Point and Whalefall. Surprise appearances included Anthony Mackie, David Harbour, Winston Duke, Paul Bettany, Josh Brolin and Austin Abrams.
Marvel Leads the Charge
Following a recorded message from directors Anthony and Joe Russo, Mackie, Harbour and Duke took the stage to discuss Avengers: Doomsday and introduce an extended trailer.
Disney teased a deadly collision involving heroes from three separate universes. With an ensemble featuring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Pedro Pascal, Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen, the stakes are looking mighty big.
Avengers: Doomsday opens December 18, 2026.
Bettany also gave fans an early taste of VisionQuest, introducing a montage and the first 22 minutes of the premiere.
The series follows a hunted Vision alongside Thomas Shepherd, a boy who may be his reincarnated son. Add Ultron’s influence to the mix, and Vision has plenty to deal with when the series arrives on Disney+ October 14.

Witches, Cats and Prehistoric Chaos
Disney Animation showed footage from Hexed, starring Hailee Steinfeld as Billie, a teenager whose newly discovered powers lead her into a realm of witches. Rashida Jones voices her mother, Alice, who joins her in uncovering family secrets. The film opens November 25, 2026.
Pixar’s Gatto introduced another kind of trouble. Mark Ruffalo voices Nero, a black cat navigating Venice while owing a debt to a feline mob boss voiced by Laurence Fishburne. From Luca director Enrico Casarosa, the film arrives March 5, 2027.
Meanwhile, Ice Age: Boiling Point brings Manny, Sid, Diego and the gang back for an adventure packed with dinosaurs and lava. Scrat has company this time, including Baby Scrat and an enormous Jurassic Scrat. Look for that chaos in theaters February 5, 2027.

Whalefall Takes a Terrifying Turn
Brolin and Abrams joined filmmaker Brian Duffield to present a clip from Whalefall, based on Daniel Kraus’ novel.
Abrams plays Jay Gardiner, who dives off California’s Central Coast searching for his late father’s remains and gets swallowed by a massive sperm whale. With just an hour of oxygen left, lessons from his father could become his only way out.
Whalefall opens October 16.
Superheroes, witchcraft, a cat with mob problems and a nightmare inside a whale. Disney gave the Málaga crowd one hell of a watchlist.
