EXCLUSIVE: Disney/Marvel Are Looking At Travis Knight To Direct ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy 3’

There has been a lot of mystery as to what will come of the Guardians Of The Galaxy post James Gunn. Production, release date and news have all been delayed due to the debacle of Gunn’s firing.  However, we here at The DisInsider have learned, from a very close source, that Travis Knight (Kubo And The Two Strings/Bumblebee) is a name being looked at to helm the third installment.

Knight was on the studios shortlist to direct The Eternals, before the gig went to Chloe Zhao.

Travis Knight is best known for his work on animated films like, Kubo and the Two Strings; which he directed; The Boxtrolls; ParaNorman and Coraline. Now on the rise, Knight is currently finishing up his new film, Bumblebee, Which has been generating positive early screening buzz.

There hasn’t been much regarding Guardings Of The Galaxy 3 lately but this could mean there is some forward progress beginning. I do want to remind you all that this is a rumor and only that. Please keep in mind that a lot of ‘Guardians’ news is extensively under wraps.

No word on a production date nor release date for the third film.

In the mean time, catch your favorite group of misfits in Avengers 4, due out on May 3, 2019.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers 4 stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Brie Larson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Paul Bettany, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chadwick Boseman, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Karen Gillan, Evangeline Lilly, Katherine Langford and Josh Brolin.
