‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ Joins $1 Billion Dollar Club as the Highest Grossing Spider-Man film

After just about a month in the box office, Spider-Man: Far From Home has reached its one billion dollar mark, making it the highest grossing Spider-Man film, right above Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3.  Spidey fans can relax and rejoice to the news that MCU’s Spider-Man 3 will be able to happen now that they’ve hit this mark.  As we earlier reported, if the Marvel Studios Spider-Man sequel didn’t make at least a billion dollars global, Sony would take back control over the character. In comparison, Spider-Man: Homecoming made $880.2 million in the global box office.  A full list of all the Spider-Man movies ranked by their global gross was posted on MarvelousRealm’s twitter. Hopefully, with the success of both films, Jon Watts will come back for the third Spider-Man installment.  Although, there has be no announcement for the film and Marvel’s Phase Four slate is completely confirmed, so we’ll have to wait until at least Phase Five to see some more of the kid from Queens. Spider-Man: Far From Home is in theatres now.
