‘Ant-Man 3’ Officially Moving Forward At Marvel Studios; Peyton Reed Returning To Direct
Just a couple weeks back a report surfaced that Marvel Studios is moving forward with an Ant-Man 3. Now, that report is official.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp director Peyton Reed has signed on to helm the third film in the franchise.
Plot details are being kept under-wraps at this time, but Paul Rudd is expected to return as Scott Lang, the heist-hearting hero with the power to talk his way out of any situation in the new installment. No release date has been confirmed but the studio is aiming to start production in late 2020/early 2021, so a 2022 release is likely.

Released in 2015, Ant-Man starring Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, and Evangaline Lilly grossed over $519 million at the global box office, and in 2018 Ant-Man and the Wasp was released, which introduced Michelle Pfieffer as the original Wasp, and would make even more than its predecessor grossing $622 million globally. So, it makes sense Marvel Studios wants to continue making films in this billion-dollar franchise.
