Phase Four of Marvel’s Cinematic Universe might already be coming to an end, but it’s introduced an influx of new characters who will certainly play a role in the larger unfolding story.

One of those characters is America Chavez. With the ability to travel across the multiverse, it’s obvious that she’ll be an integral part in what Marvel has called “The Multiverse Saga.” While it’s unclear when or where Chavez will appear next, in a new interview with ComicBook.com, actress Xochitl Gomez spoke about her hopes for the character’s future.

When asked who she’d like America to cross paths with next, Gomez said, “I hope that America kind of gets to be in a show or a movie with Loki because I think that could be really fun.”

She also added, “Kang seems like a great villain, and I’m super excited for what he’s about to unleash with all of that. Hopefully America will get to be in a Kang-related project. I think that would be really cool.”

With the way things are shaping up – and the implication of the mere title Avengers: The Kang Dynasty – it’s entirely possible that America could cross paths with one of Kang’s many variants.

Now, Jonathan Majors has been cast as Kang the Conqueror, and the character is set to make his official entrance in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. However a variant of the character, who referred to himself as “He Who Remains”, appeared at the end of Loki‘s first season but was killed at the hands of Sylvie.

Whatever happens, it’ll be exciting to see how America and all of the other new characters are assembled to deal with Kang’s inevitable conquest.
