Tom Ellis, Maddie Hasson, and Jason Biggs Amongst Rumored Names For ‘Fantastic Four’

A new week, a new rumor regarding Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four. This week brings us a new batch of actors rumored for various roles in the highly-anticipated film.

Now, to be totally transparent, the rumor comes from the popular gossip social media account Deuxmoi via their ‘blind items’, which leaves out names and specifics for followers to work out. Deuxmoi takes and shares gossip and tips from users. The outlet isn’t always sharing accurate information but that is not to say they have not gotten anything right (ala Jude Law’s involvement on Skeleton Crew). The information they share is 50/50 in terms of accuracy. So take the information with a massive grain of salt.

The blind item reads “Maddie Hason and Tom Ellis are in the running for the role of Sue Storm and Reed Richards. Daveed Diggs has also auditioned. Michael Provost is the favorite for Johnny Storm. Jason Biggs has auditioned for Thing.”

Fans know Tom Ellis as the star of the hit Netflix series Lucifer. Maddie Hasson last appeared in James Wan’s horror pic Malignant. Daveed Diggs is most notable for his work on Hamilton and will next be heard as the voice of Sebastian in Disney’s The Little Mermaid, due out next year. Jason Biggs is known for his comedic role in the long-running American Pie franchise.

Writing duo eff Kaplan and Ian Springer are hard at work writing the script for Marvel’s first attempt at the Fantastic Four with Matt Shakman (WandaVision) set to direct. Moon Knight producers Grant Curtis and Nick Pepin are also on board.

The studio recently moved Fantastic Four to a new release date and will now hit theaters on February 14, 2025.
