Shawn Levy In Talks For Secret ‘Star Wars’ Film

There may already be a handful of Star Wars projects already in development at Lucasfilm, but that certainly isn’t stopping the studio from lining up a few more.

According to Deadline, not only is another Star Wars film in the early stages of production, but Shawn Levy is in talks to helm it.

No need to worry about the next season of Stranger Things or Deadpool 3, the latter of which is his next big screen project. According to Deadline, should Levy officially come aboard he won’t have to worry about his entry Star Wars franchise until after filming for Deadpool 3 is complete.

While the next theatrical Star Wars is reportedly set to be Taika Waititi‘s, Levy joins a long list of other prominent creators with projects in development including Patty Jenkins, Rian Johnson, and (most recently) Damon Lindelof.

That’s not to say fans won’t get their Star Wars fix in the meantime. Although the first season of Andor is almost done on Disney+, the third season of The Mandalorian hits the streamer in February, followed by the live-action Ahsoka Tano show and The Acolyte, which was confirmed to be in production earlier this week!
