It’s no secret that Captain America: New World Order is going to involve the Hulk. While Mark Ruffalo and/or Tatiana Maslany have yet to be confirmed for the film, the return of Tim Blake Nelson’s Samuel Stern and Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross (recast with Harrison Ford in the role) are proof that the events of The Incredible Hulk are going to matter more than they ever have since the film’s release.
In case that isn’t enough proof, a new rumor claims that one Hulk could be making an appearance in the film. However, it’s not one you might expect. According to industry insider Daniel RPK, Harrison Ford’s iteration of Thunderbolt Ross will finally transform into the Red Hulk in the film.
While it’s unclear how he will transform, you don’t have to be a genius to determine that Sam Wilson is going to be dealing with a new kind of Super Soldier Serum this time around. That’s not all.

RPK also claims that the next time Thunderbolt appears he will be the MCU’s President of the United States. If true, considering that Dermot Mulroney was reportedly cast as the POTUS in Secret Invasion, it makes you wonder if Mulroney will turn out to be a Skrull, or die as a result of the events of the upcoming series.
Now it’s unclear if Ford will be both President and the Red Hulk at the same time – although it would be cool to see the MCU’s President kick ass alongside the Avengers – at the very least it seems as if the character will inherit both duties over the course of the film.
Because this info has not been confirmed by any major trade or Marvel Studios, as always we urge you to take it with a grain of salt. However, we would still love to hear your thoughts about the Red Hulk finally (potentially) making his MCU debut after all these years. Sound off below!

Plot details for Captain America: New World Order are currently being kept under wraps. In addition to Anthony Mackie and Harrison Ford, Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, Tim Blake Nelson, and Carl Lumbly are also set to star.
Julius Onah (The Cloverfield Paradox, Luce) is set to direct the fourth installment of the franchise. Malcolm Spellman, who was the head writer and showrunner for the hit series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, will be coming back to write the fourth installment of the Captain America franchise. Dalan Musson, a staff writer, will co-write the film with Spellman.
Shortly after, it’s believed that Ford will return for Marvel’s Thunderbolts. Production on that film is also slated to begin next year with director Jake Schreier. Julia Louis Dreyfuss, Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Wyatt Russell, Hannah John Kamen, Olga Kurylenko, and Sebastian Stan are all set to reprise their respective MCU roles too.
