Earlier this week Collider announced that Disney was eyeing a Summer release date for its next live-action Star Wars series, The Acolyte.

One minor detail the outlet also mentioned in their piece was that the project found its composer.

Michael Abels, most known for his work on all three of Jordan Peele’s films – Get Out, Us, and Nope – has been tapped to produce the project’s score.

Having recently won a Pulitzer for his work on the opera titled Omar, based on his autobiography A Muslim American Slave: The Life of Omar ibn Said, it looks like Lucasfilm has grabbed the composer at the perfect time.

Considering how iconic and unique each of his film scores have been so far, we’re excited to see what he cooks up for a galaxy far, far away.

What do you think of Abels’ involvement? Sound off below!

The eight-episode series stars Amandla Stenberg,  Jodie Turner-Smith, Lee Jung-Jae, Manny Jacinto, Charlie Barnett, Dafne Keen, Rebecca Henderson, Dean-Charles Chapman, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Margarita Levieva. The executive producers are Kathleen Kennedy, Simon Emanuel, Jeff F. King, and Jason Micallef. Rayne Roberts and Damian Anderson are producing.
