Original Vanessa Fisk Actress Seemingly Returning For New ‘Daredevil’ Series

If we had a nickel for every time Marvel’s Daredevil reboot was retooled, we might actually be rich.

Following heavy rewrites and recent reshoots, it appears that a minor recasting might have also taken place.

Early Sunday morning a photo of actress Ayelet Zurer on the set of the Daredevil: Born Again surfaced on the internet. The actress previously starred in the Netflix’s series as Vanessa Fisk. What was particularly interesting about this photo was that it showed her working across from Kingpin/Wilson Fisk actor Vincent D’Onofrio.

Now, just last year it was reported that actress Sandrine Holt would be playing the character in the new series. While no major outlet has confirmed that Holt has been let go from the series, the photo seems to be pretty clear evidence that Zurer is back as Fisk.

Aside from Cox, Bernthal, Elden Henson and Deborah Ann Woll reprising their roles from the Netflix Daredevil series and other prior Marvel Studios productions, Vincent D’Onofrio and Wilson Bethel are also returning as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin and Bullseye respectively.

Newcomers to the franchise include Michael GandolfiniColin WoodellMargarita Levieva, Sandrine Holt, and Nikki M. James.

Following a creative overhaul of the series, an early 2025 release on Disney+ is planned after this next round of filming is completed. The series is expected to consist of 18 episodes divided into nine-episode halves.

Dario Scardapane, who was an executive producer on Netflix’s Punisher series, is the showrunner for Daredevil: Born Again. Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, the directing duo behind Moon Knight and season 2 of Loki are directing.
