RUMOR: Cal Kestis Making His Live-Action ‘Star Wars’ Debut Soon

Since the release of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order in 2019, franchise fans have been eager to see the video game’s protagonist, Cal Kestis, make the jump to live-action. And while fans have been left in the dark about the character’s future in the series, a new rumor suggests that he will be making his live-action debut very soon.

According to industry insider Daniel RPK, Cal Kestis is coming to a live-action project “very soon.” He revealed the information via his Patreon Tuesday evening.

While the scooper couldn’t share too much, at the very least, he revealed that the character’s debut would be on Disney+. This likely means it’ll be in an upcoming yet-to-be-revealed series – or season of a series like Ahsoka.

Now, because neither Lucasfilm or any of the major trades has confirmed this (why would they?) we urge you to take it with a grain of salt.

Considering how accurate RPK’s been in the past, however, we are inclined to believe this info is true.

It’s also worth noting that the actor who plays the character in the video games, Cameron Monaghan, has developed quite the star power over the years. He’s even slated to appear in the next Tron film, so why wouldn’t Disney/Lucasfilm want to capitalize on that?

If true, where do you think the character should show up? How do you think his storyline could be woven into any of the live-action properties? Sound off below!

Set in the Star Wars universe five years after Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, the Fallen Order follows Jedi Padawan Cal Kestis, who becomes a target of the Galactic Empire and is hunted throughout the galaxy by the Imperial Inquisition. Along the way, not only must he complete his training, but he must reconcile with his troubled past, and rebuild the fallen Jedi Order too.

The sequel, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, takes place five years after the events of the previous game and continuing the adventure of young Jedi Knight Cal Kestis, as he and his friends continue in their struggle to survive the tyranny of the Galactic Empire.
