This just in: while on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon tonight, Tom Holland finally confirmed that Spider-Man 4 is happening!
Sure, the project had already been confirmed last month. But this marks the first Holland had publicly commented about the production himself.
That’s not all! He also confirmed that the film would be shooting next summer!
“It’s happening. Next summer we start shooting,” Holland told Fallon. “Everything’s good to go. We’re nearly there, super exciting.”
The film will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings). While he was originally slated to direct the canceled “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty,” Cretton remains part of the Marvel universe, having co-developed the forthcoming “Wonder Man” miniseries featuring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.
So far, Holland is the only known cast member to return for the upcoming film. We expect more news about the project soon!
