Over the weekend, Marvel fans received the awesome news that Ant-Man would be getting a third film with Peyton Reed back to direct.
It’s now been stated by Michael Douglas himself that he’ll be reprising his role as Hank Pym and that the movie is expected to begin filming in early 2021.
The Marvel world has really been a blast! I love them, I’m having a great time. We’re starting a third Ant-Man in the beginning of January 2021.
Plot details are being kept under-wraps at this time, but Paul Rudd is expected to return as Scott Lang, the heist-hearting hero with the power to talk his way out of any situation in the new installment. While no release date has yet been set for Ant-Man 3, it’s expected to hit theaters sometime in 2022.

Released in 2015, Ant-Man starring Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, and Evangaline Lilly grossed over $519 million at the global box office, and in 2018 Ant-Man and the Wasp was released, which introduced Michelle Pfieffer as the original Wasp, and would make even more than its predecessor grossing $622 million globally. So, it makes sense Marvel Studios wants to continue making films in this billion-dollar franchise.
