For those unfamiliar, the first appearance of Red Hulk was in 2008’s Hulk #1 as a baffling opponent to Hulk. Red Hulk, also known as Rulk, unleashes ruin and even murders Abomination. It isn’t until later that Rulk was uncovered to be made by MODOK, the pioneer of A.I.M., when She-Hulk penetrates an A.I.M. base and battles MODOK, while Hulk battles Red Hulk. Rulk’s way of life as General Ross is at last uncovered in the 2010 storyline World War Hulk. In the wake of joining the Avengers, Rulk structures his own Thunderbolts group in the 2012 Marvel NOW! relaunch. This could additionally suggest that MODOK is one of the reprobates in ‘She-Hulk’ and that the arrangement further sets up the Thunderbolts.
The series is currently in the casting process as the studio is looking to find an actress to play Jennifer Walters aka She-Hulk. Jessica Gao (Rick and Morty) is currently penning the script. Reports recently surfaced that Mark Ruffalo is expected to reprise his role as Bruce Banner, it is unknown if he will be Professor Hulk as seen in Avengers: Endgame.
