Catching Up With Indiana Jones in Croatia

Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart shock locals in Dubrovnik

Okay, okay. So we don’t have much in the way of “new” news regarding the filming of Indiana Jones 5.

However, Indiana Jones is out and about. And thanks to several sites, it is good to see Harrison Ford bumming around Dubrovnik during downtime (recovery time?) between shoots for Indy V.

Mangold on Twitter

How do I know that the production is between shoots? Easy, I pay attention to James Mangold’s tweets.

So, while Mangold and his crew set up elsewhere (or took a break themselves), Ford and his wife/fellow actor Callista Flockhart (Supergirl, Ally McBeal) joined one of his sons in Croatia.

CroatiaWeek.com posted:

American actor Harrison Ford (78) was out sightseeing in the Old Town of Dubrovnik last night with his son Liam and wife, actress Calista Flockhart, the main protagonist of the popular series Ally McBeal dubrovniknet.hr reported.

Ford is no doubt enjoying some rest in Croatia after injuring his shoulder in June during the shooting of the fifth sequel to the film about adventurer and archaeologist Indiana Jones in the UK.

Harrison Ford strolled around the city in a casual black T-shirt and pants, and despite being him and his wife being well “camouflaged” with dark glasses and masks on their faces, were still recognized.

Shooting In September?

Meanwhile, the UK’s Daily Mail continued to report:

An insider told The Sun’s Bizarre column because it’s Harrison’s last outing as Indiana, everybody was expecting it to be plain sailing… [They said:]

The film’s bosses have come together to work out the scheduling and it’s chaos. The earliest they think they can restart the production is September… It was not what anyone was expecting so to have to change everything is a huge blow. Everyone was concerned for Harrison and they are glad he is on the mend.”

Of course, after an absence of several days, it was really great to see Mr. Ford on his feet and looking nowhere like a 78-year-old.
