‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ Ticket Pre-Sales Shatter Expectations

Talk about “Madness”….

According to Fandango, 24-hour ticket pre-sales for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness are officially the best of the year!

While they didn’t have the exact number of ticket sales so far, the site did go so far as to say that initial ticket sales bested previous 24-hour record holder for the year, The Batman, which made $134 million in its opening weekend.

The site also said, early ticket sales were the highest they’ve been since last year’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, which went on to have the second best opening weekend of all time with $260 million.

Shows are already selling out, so if you haven’t gotten your tickets yet be sure to purchase them ASAP!

Directed by Sam Raimi, the film features the return of Academy Award-nominee Benedict Cumberbatch as the titular superhero, as well as Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, Benedict Wong as Wong, Rachel McAdams as Christine Palmer, and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Mordo.

Xochitl Gomez is the only confirmed addition to the cast. She’ll play the dimension-shattering superhero America Chavez. On the off-chance you couldn’t figure out who that mystery character who that mystery character talking to Strange was, it was Patrick Stewart! While he seems to be returning as Professor Charles Xavier, it’s unclear if he will be the same Professor X from the original X-Men from franchise, or if he’s a variant. Several other actors are expected to appear as well, though their roles remain shrouded in secrecy.
