After the cancellation of Daredevil and all of the other Marvel-Netflix shows, many thought The Defenders would never appear in the MCU again. But with the return of Charlie Cox’s Daredevil, one Marvel exec isn’t entirely ruling out a return.
Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Brad Winderbaum, the current head of Marvel Studios’ streaming, television and animation division said that there are conversations happening about the return of Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist.
More specifically, he said that the Marvel is “exploring” the return of Mike Colter, Krysten Ritter and Finn Jones’ iteration of the iconic comic book characters.
“I can’t say much, but I’ll tell you that it’s so exciting to be able to play in that sandbox,” Winderbaum said. “Obviously we don’t have the unlimited storytelling resources like a comic book. If you can draw it, you can do it.”
